A brief history of SFE

• 1975-1989, yearly visits
  Service of cooperation in development in Laos. Various kinds of help (for an orphanage, medical equipment, village sanitary services, vehicles for district hospitals), by a Swiss organisation.
• 1989-1992, Financing of a district hospital
  Financing of the building and equipment of the district hospital of Sonnabouly (Savannakhet province).
• 1989-1992, Financing of a dam.
Financing of an irrigation dam in Bane Tiang, Champassak province
• 1997, Medical help ;
  Medical help in the district hospital of Sonnabouly, Savannakhet province, for training personel, with the presence of a expatriate trainer (nurse).
• 1998 - 2001, Technical help
  Technical help for the provincial hospital of Attopeu and its’ 4 district hospitals. First step of a 3 year project – rehabilitation, equipment, training.
• 2001 - 2008, Medical and technical help
  Development of medical service in the Louang Namtha province, technical support in the Friendhip Hospital in Vientiane (equipment and training), extension of TB control.
  Creation of a sustainable development development, with a of silk production project;
• 2008, Reorganisation ;
  Separation between the NGO activities and MSL, a non-for-profit business created in order to provide a suitable framework for commercial activities, for the benefit of the local producers.
